Sacha Alexandre known as Sacha Distel is a Guitariste of Jazz, Compositeur and Chanteur French born with Paris, on January 29th 1933 and died in the Rayol-Canadel-on-Sea (close to Saint-Tropez) the July 22nd 2004.

Biography

He is the nephew of Ray Ventura. He starts by being a guitarist of Jazz. He makes his beginnings of singer in 1958 with the casino of Algiers. After a idylle with Brigitte Bardot, he marries in 1963 the skier Francine Bréaud with whom he will have two wire.

Crowned in 1959 by the Grand Prix of the academy Charles-Cross-country race, it begins with the screen with “Bitten”. From 1962, it starts to animate the variety programmes on television, in particular the “Sacha show” of Maritie and Gilbert Carpentier.

April 28th, 1985 it is victim of a road accident, in the crossing of the hamlet of Maltaverne (commune of the Tracy-on-Loire, near the Cosne-on-Loire), on board a Porsche with Chantal Nobel, heroin of the serial tele Châteauvallon . Chantal Nobel, seriously wounded, out of spring handicapped with life, itself is slightly wounded and condemned to one one-year suspended sentence for involuntary injuries.

It held the main role in the Musical comedy Chicago with London in 2001.

It is deceased on July 22nd 2004 continuations of a Cancer. It rests in the family crypt of the property of his parents-in-law in Rayol-Canadel, close to Saint-Tropez.
