Saccharase

The saccharase or invert sugar is a Enzyme which divides the Saccharose into a molecule of Fructose and one of Glucose. This enzyme, secreted by the Crypts of Lieberkühn, is present in the intestinal mucous membrane.

If saccharase is not present in the intestine, one can diagnose a Déficience out of invert sugar-isomaltase.
