Sabine (wife of Hadrian)
Vibia Sabina is a Roman empress , the wife of the emperor Hadrian (v. 86 - 137).
She is born towards 86 from Salonina Matidia, the niece of the emperor Trajan and Lucius Vibius Sabinus, a Consulaire. She marries Hadrian at the request of the empress Plotine, so that it can succeed his large uncle in 117. They do not have a child and the marriage is unhappy. In 128, it receives the title of Augusta.
She dies before her husband, in 136 - 137, of unknown causes.
