Saab 900 Talladega
The Saab 900 Talladega is a limited series of the Saab 900, which bears the name of a race track located at the the United States in Alabama.
It is on this circuit that Saab decided to carry out tests of a new kind for the mark. In 1986, Saab 9000 carried out a test of durability and endurance on the " Superspeedway" of Talladega: she traversed 100.000 km without any stop, except those necessary to the supply out of gasoline and oil, and of course with the change of pilot. Two world records were pulverized and 21 international records were established. A little later in 1996, it is Saab 900 which was stuck to it, while rolling at full speed during 8 days 24:00 /24 by traversing 40.000 km at the mean velocity of 226.45 km/h. These tests were carried out with models of series.
