Saïd Saadi

Saïd Sadi is a politician Algérie N, president of the Rassemblement for the culture and the democracy (RCD).

It was born on August 26th, 1947 in Aghribs in current the Wilaya de Tizi-Ouzou in Kabylie, area of the north of Algeria. Resulting from the generation of the actors of the Berber Spring of 1980, it created one of the first Algerian leagues of the human rights. Psychiatrist of formation, it will enter legally in policy in 1988, after having purged a three years sorrow for “attack with the state security” following the creation of the league of the human rights in 1985.

Saïd Sadi then takes the head of RCD, resulting from sat Berber cultural Movement (MCB) from February 1989. It then presents to the local elections 1990 and legislative of December 1991, and will be candidate with presidential of 1995. It will direct the party which makes its entry in the Parliament that in 1997, with 19 deputies.

The RCD agrees to join the government coalition in 1999, which is worth to him to lose many militants, hostile with such a step. It puts an end to its participation in the government of Abdelaziz Bouteflika, in 2001, at the time of the riots of the Printemps black and joined the opposition.

It presents to the presidential elections 2004, against the will of its party , and the score of 1% in a poll disputed by the opposition obtains.
