S Republic
The S Republic was a American Steamer , propelled with paddle wheels. It was called in the beginning the Tennessee and sank at the time of a hurricane off the coast of the Georgia, in October 1865. It transported 59 passengers then, of the freight and the gold coins whose amount is estimated at 400.000 dollars. It was found in 2003 by the ship of research Odyssey , property of the company étatsunienne Odyssey Marine Exploration specialized in the search for treasures submarines.
