SNC-Lavalin , founded in 1991 by the fusion of SNC and Lavalin, is a firm of Ingénierie whose head office is with Montreal. Description

History

This company is the fusion of two firms of engineering: SNC and Lavalin.

Jacques Lamarre, the brother of Bernard Lamarre, ex-owner of Lavalin, is at present the president of the SNC-Lavalin firm.

February 23rd, 2006, SNC-Lavalin sells its subsidiary company SNC Technologies, specialized in the propelling powders, with General Dynamics for the sum of 315 million dollars CA ().

According to the Canadian Press of September 30th, 2007, SNC-Lavalin would have become the first firm of engineering in the world preceding the USSR, of San Francisco (the USA). Its sales turnover exceeding the 5 billion $ in 2006.
