SMX-23
SMX-23 is new a Sous-marin conceived by DCNS (France) and presented in 2006; he is regarded as the little brother of the Scorpène , with only 48 meters length for a displacement ranging between 855 and 950 tons (against 76 meters and 1 650 tons for the Scorpène).
The SMX-23 is in particular created for the countries wishing to have an underwater force specialized in the coastal combat; it constitutes an alternative cheaper than the Scorpène . The SMX-23 can move with 15 nodes, plunge up to 200 meters of depth, and evolve/move by small funds.
On the level armament, it can launch the heavy Torpille BlackShark and the anti-ship Missile SM-39 builds by MBDA. It is equipped with a hopper of exit for naval frogmen, military equipment electronics and of a system of dropping of mines.
