SMPTE 292M
SMPTE 292M is a Standard published by the SMPTE which extends the standard SMPTE 259M to authorize flows of 1.485 and of 1.485/1.001 Gbit/s. These flows are sufficient for the video High-definition.
This standard belongs to a family of standards which defines a numerical interface in series (based on a cable Coaxial) intended to be used to transport video (and audio) not compressed. This interface is usually called SDI (Serial DIGITAL Interface) or HD-SDI.
