SHAY

At the time of the British Mandat on Palestine SHA' Y ( Sherut ha' Yediot ha' Artzit or national service of information, sometimes spelled SHAI) was an intelligence service and of against-espionage of the Haganah, embryo of the future Mossad until the establishment of the State of Israel.

During the Second world war, the British special services provided Haganah out of weapons, drive and funds in exchange of experts in languages and achievements of operations. The Britanniques provided a training of commandos for special operations to veterans of the SHAY and FOSH through a school of drive indicated under the name of code ME 102 setting-up by MI-4.
