SF 1 is a Television channel public general practitioner of the Schweizer Fernsehen (SF).
History of the chain
TV DRS Schweizer Fernsehen is launched in 1953 since the Bellerive Studio of Zurich which diffuses one hour of emission five evenings per week. The regular emissions began on January 1st 1958.The first emissions in Romanche are diffused in 1963. Publicity appears in 1964 and the color in 1968.
The chain is renamed SF DRS in 1984 then becomes SF 1 in 1997, following the launching of a second channel. SF 1 is the first chain of the three Germanic Swiss television networks of the group SF (the two others are SF zwei and SF information).
