The family of the Batacées (now Bataceae , in the past Batidaceae ) is a family of plants Dicotylédone S. According to Watson & Dallwitz it includes/understands one kind:

They are bushes of succulent plants of the maritime shores, Halophile S, tropical zones.

The phylogenetic classification place this family in the order of the Brassicales .
