SCUMS Czech Airlines

SCUMS Czech Airlines (code AITA: OK ; code ICAO: SCUMS ), (in Czech: České aerolinie , ace), is a Czech Airline company .

At the beginning of Prague, SCUMS Czech Airlines proposes a broad choice of flights bound for all Europe, of North America, of the Middle East and the African continent. A modern fleet, experienced pilots and a service on board high-quality are as many vectors of its growing success.

SCUMS are member of alliance SkyTeam since 2001.

Since 2006, SCUMS tried to seize its direct competitor Travel Service, a private Czech airline company in difficulty, bought with more than 50% by Icelandair.

History

ČSA was created like Československé státní aerolinie ( Czechoslovak State Airlines ) on October 6th 1923. The first flight between Prague and Bratislava took place the October 29th same year. On this flight, the pilot Karel Brabenec traversed the distance of 321 km with a biplane Aero A-14 (Bandenburg).

To renew its air park, the Czech company plans to replace its A310 old men by Airbus A340. Some say that SkyTeam encourages SCUMS to give up its A310, because they are now 15 years old.
