S/2005 (136108) 1 is a Natural satellite of the Objet transneptunien (136108) 2003 EL₆₁, discovered in January 2005.

Characteristics

S/2005 (136108) 1 is a small body of approximately 310 km of ray.

It orbits around (136108) 2003 EL₆₁ in a little more than 49 days, on an orbit quasi-circular with the distance of 49500 km. It was probably formed after the impact of 2003 EL₆₁ with another body, assumption supported by the existence of a family of small objects dividing of the orbital elements of 2003 EL₆₁^, .

Discovered

S/2005 (136108) 1 was discovered following several observations carried out between the 26 and on January 30th, 2005 by the team of Mike Brown using the telescope with adaptive Optique of the observatory Keck
