Słupsk

Słupsk (in German Stolp ) is a town of Poland (Voïvodie de Poméranie), in the North-East of the Poméranie and located at approximately 150 km in the west of Gdańsk and at 18 kilometers of the the Baltic.

History

The city had its beginnings in a Château enriched located on the right bank by the river Słupia, with a crossing of river on the commercial route between Szczecin and Gdańsk. In terms of normal environment the site appropriate good to the establishment of a payment of fortifiet.

Słupsk obtained the rights of city in 1369 and was replaced in 1410. From 1368 to 1478 the city was it capital of the Duché of Słupsk. In 1648 become part of Brandenbourg.
