Sénoudébou is a locality of the Eastern Senegal, located near Nayé, at the border with the Mali.

History

The construction of the fort of Sénoudébou is completed in 1845.

In 1846 the captaine Parent has the appearance of a pioneer by announcing the site of Sénoudébou at an international archaeological community up to that point little concerned with the vestiges of the African continent.

Administration

The village belongs to the rural community of Beautiful in the Département of Bakel (Région of Tambacounda.

Geography

Senoudebou is with the foot of a hill, at the edge of the Falémé, an important affluent of the river Senegal.

The closest localities are Boubia, Djita and Debou Fadela.

According to the figures of the PEPAM (Programme of drinking water and cleansing of the Millenium), the village counts 1.864 inhabitants and 202 households.
