The Sénons ( Senones ) was one of the Gallic Peuples. They occupied the area of the Sénonais, corresponding to the department current of the Yonne, of the Marne, Seine-et-Marne and the Coast-with Or. They gave their name to the town of Sens which was their capital under the name of Agendicum . Led by Camulogène, they fought Labiénus the lieutenant of César.
Part of Sénons, had immigrant in Italy in IVe front century J. - C., and was in conflict with the Etruscan city of Clusium - auj. Chiusi - like with Rome.

Coining
Sénons emitted currencies of several natures. Statères and quarter of statères in Gold or Electrum, sums of money in money, bronzes (Bronze), and pewters (Pewter).
