Sénergues is a common French, located in the department of the Aveyron and the area the Midday-Pyrenees. Its inhabitants is called Sénerguois.

On the Via Podiensis of the Pilgrimage of Saint-Jacques-to-Compostelle .
One comes from Espeyrac, the next commune is Conques , major stage and his abbey Sainte Foy .

History

the church Saint Martin was rebuilt on the site of a priory quoted in 819, and which was given, as well as the castle, with the abbey of Conques.

In the years 1580, Abraham de Guirard, lord of Sénergues, sought to convert the inhabitants with Protestantism. It attracted itself the lightnings of the community of Conches of which the church depended on Sénergues.
It is a vast residence seigneuriale with the tréflées windows.

The ruins of this keep of the 13th century, dominate the old houses.
