Sémigalien
The sémigalien is an extinct language belonging to the Baltic group Eastern of the Indo-European Langues.
History
The sémigalien disappeared at the 16th century during the assimilation by the Latvian S. In spite of disappearance of this language, one could learn his existence by certain occasional references in chronicles.
Distribution
The sémigalien spoke itself in north about the Lithuania and in the areas about south-west about the Latvia, particularly in the south of the Golfe of Rīga, in the historical area of Zemgale.
