Sélonien
The sélonien is an extinct language belonging to the Baltic group Eastern of the Indo-European Langues.
History
The sélonien was spoken by Séloniens, of the Baltic tribes which lived until the 15th century. It is gradually dissolves in the Latvian and the Lituanien as from the 16th century. No written reference remained of this dialect, but the toponymy of the area testifies to its influence. One still finds vestiges of his presence in the accent and the phonetics of people of this territory.
Distribution
The sélonien spoke itself in the center about the Latvia and the North-East about the Lithuania, in the area in the south-east of the Golfe of Rīga, in the south of the Daugava.
