Séez is a common French, located in the department of the Savoy and the area the Rhone-Alps.
Séez is composed of several hamlets, dependant on the borough. There are Villard-Dessous, and Villard-Top, which one finds on the road of the collar of the Small Saint Bernard who allows the junction with Italy. One finds on the same road the station of Rosière. One can thus attach the collar to the commune and locate the culminating point of Séez at the mountain of Lancebranlette at close to 3000m of altitude.
Its name comes owing to the fact that the commune is located at the site of the terminal " six" Roman way.
Séez having been the chief town of the Viscounts of high Tarentaise, one can observe the old residence seigneuriale there. The church of Séez is a wonder of the Baroque art.
