In 1900 the Clube Atlético Paulistano is established. After innumerable conquests, because of the professionalism of football, the team decides to close her activities in this sport, as well as the Associação Atlética das Palmeiras . The supporters and players of the two teams then decided to join and they established the São Paulo Futebol Clube in 1930. To be her field of play of Floresta, this team was known like São Paulo da Floresta . In this year, the team finished the Paulista championship like vice-champion and in 1931, champion for the first time. In 1933 takes place the first professional football game of the country: 5-1 against Santos FC.
The direction misses and the team is still involved in debt. The solution was to amalgamate with the Clube de Regatas Tietê . The department of football disappears on May 14th 1935.
1935 - 1939: Lastly, São Paulo FC
Shortly after the fusion with Tietê, which buried São Paulo da Floresta , the founders and refondateurs created the Grêmio Tricolor , which would give rise to the Clube Atlético São Paulo , the June 4th 1935, and, finally, with the São Paulo Futebol Clube , established the December 16th of this same year. The first match was against the Portuguesa Santista the January 25th 1936. The play almost does not arrive, to be the festival of the town of São Paulo. Porphyrio da Paz, director of football and the author of the anthem of the club insisted near the department of Education and finished by making a success of the release. The club was born already very popular. Nevertheless, it was very weak. They then decided to reinforce the team with new a fusion, this time with the Étudiants De São Paulo da Mooca . With new fusion, São Paulo arrived at the vice-championship of São Paulo in 1938.

After the exit of Raí to the Paris Saint-Germain, in France, Telê recalled São Paulo with Leonardo Nascimento de Araujo by ordering medium ground of the team which would fight by the second Mondial trophy with Tokyo. The adversary was the Milan AC of Fabio Capello.
