Ruth Perry
Ruth Sando Fahnbulleh Perry born in 1939 was President of the Liberia September 3rd 1996 with the August 2nd 1997 like chairwoman of the Council of State.
Career policies
It controlled Liberia after the dismissal and the murder of the Head of State Samuel K. Doe, and the end of the presidency of Amos Sawyer.The Council of State consists of a civil pulpit, which includes in particular like members: Charles Taylor, Liberation movement of Liberia and has for the leader Démocrate Alhaji Kromah, Conseil of the Peace of Liberia George Boley, and two other civilians.
Perry was member of the national democratic party of Liberia. It was the first African woman to arrive at the head of Liberia, as a president of the Council of State.
Following these held elections in July 1997, Perry gave the capacity to Charles G. Taylor the August 2nd 1997 which left the capacity in 2003 shamefully and was shown crimes against humanity.
Since 2006, this country has also the chance to have another woman at her head Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, first democratically elected African woman leader, thus making the only country of the continent with two women rulers of her history.
