Ruth Page

Ruth Page is a Danse uses and American born with Indianapolis the March 22nd 1899 and died Chorégraphe with Chicago the April 7th 1991.

She studies the dance with Adolph Bolm and Enrico Cecchetti, and belonged to the company of Anna Pavlova in round in the United States in 1918-1919.

It briefly occurs with the Russian Ballets of Serge de Diaghilev with Monte Carlo in 1925, then becomes First dancer and director of the ballet Ravinia Opera of Chicago (1926-1931).

After having turned in the world, in solo or duet with Bolm, it returns to Chicago in 1955 and founds there the Chicago Opera Ballet which it directs until 1970.

It created more than 70 choreographies, of which the half for its own solos, the other for the companies that it directed or of which it was the guest.
