Rusyn

The rusyn (often called wrongly Ruthène) belonged to the Slavic Languages Eastern modern, like the Russian , the Ukrainian and the Belorusse .

The question of knowing if they are a language with whole share, a dialect or dialects of the Ukrainian is a quarrel which agitates linguists and nationalists of various obediences (as for the Macedonian with respect to the Bulgare).

For the sociolinguists, and on the juridico-policy plan, there exist at least two languages ausbau of origin ruthene, recognized like official languages with whole and taught share:

  • the rusyn carpathic, in republic of Slovakia (official in the communes where she is spoken by more than 20% of the population),
  • and the rusyn pannonien ( rusnak ), in the autonomous province of Voïvodine (Serbia).

There are in addition many dialects, of which:

  • the which would be spoken in Poland by more than 50.000 speakers,
  • the ,
  • and the houtsoule.
