For the sociolinguists, and on the juridico-policy plan, there exist at least two languages ausbau of origin ruthene, recognized like official languages with whole and taught share:
- the rusyn carpathic, in republic of Slovakia (official in the communes where she is spoken by more than 20% of the population),
- and the rusyn pannonien ( rusnak ), in the autonomous province of Voïvodine (Serbia).
There are in addition many dialects, of which:
- the which would be spoken in Poland by more than 50.000 speakers,
- the ,
- and the houtsoule.
