Russian academy of Paris Serge-Rachmaninoff

The conservatory Russian of Paris Serge-Rachmaninoff , or conservatory Rachmaninoff , is a traditional music school with vocation professionalisante, located at Paris. Its teaching is exempted in French and Russian.

The individual courses of instrument and song relate to the traditional instruments but also the Clarinette Gypsy, the Balalaïka, and the Russian Guitare. History

The creation of the academy is carried out 1923 with 1931. It is carried out by former professors of the imperial Conservatoires of Russia, of which Chaliapine, Glazounov, Gretchaninov and Rachmaninov. This last is first honorary president of the establishment.

In 1931, shortly after its creation, the Russian musical Société of France deals with the management of the Rachmaninoff academy. Its matter is to continue the work of the Russian imperial Société of music in the same direction as this one.

Since 1932, concerts were given to the academy by prestigious musicians such Vladimir Horowitz, Nathan Milstein, Gregor Piatigorsky, or Alexander Borovsky.

The Russian musical Company of France east recognized public utility in 1983, and receives subsidies by the town of Paris starting from 1990.

In 2006, Natalia Gutman is invited of honor to the master international classes of violin of the academy.
