Russia Today

Russia Today TV or RTTV is a Russian television channel of continuous information launched on December 10th 2005 by the government agency Ria-Novosti and shelters it in its Muscovite buildings.

It diffuses in English and is supposed to counter the negative image of the Russia abroad, while emitting in Europe, Asia and America.

Since May 4th, 2007 an Arab version also exists, Rusiya Al-Yaum. What inserts the chain in the battle of information, as well as BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera and France 24.

In Russia one finds other chains of information, but in Russian this time: Vesti (official chain, of the group RTR) and NTV (private channel).

Russia Today is also an Internet site of continuous information published by EIN News (European Internet Network) which exists since 1996.
