Russell Latapy

Russel Latapy (born with Laventille the August 2nd 1968) is a player of Football of the team of Trinity-and-Tobago. This small catch of 1 m 69 per 72 kg is one of the most known players in his country with Dwight Yorke, the former player of Manchester United.

At 38 years, it disputed in 2006 its first world cup, which is also the first for its country. It began its international career at the 20 years age. 18 years later, he still plays high level.

He was elected better player of his country 4 times: in 1983, 1985, 1989 and 1996.

Excel driblor, he is a leader of play except par and can give his team in the direction of walk when it is needed. One of its most anecdotic characteristics is that to smoke approximately 15 cigarettes per day does not prevent it by running and to mark goals!!! He is currently employed like playing and trainer of the team of Falkirk, a team of First League Ecossaise.

The 12/2/2006 he had been elected man of the match after victory 1-0 of Falkirk against Rangers FC - the first victory in the league of Falkirk against their rivals of Glasgow for 36 years.
