Synopsis
Alta Vista, California, the Fifties, in the middle of the american way off life. The most insane rumors run in connection with a satellite which the USSR would have placed on orbit. Angie, Mary and Laura, three young girls resulting from different social classes share their time between the studies, the boys and the exits with the drive-in. Vis-a-vis the insistent requests of his/her boyfriend, Mary accepts " to pass to the acte". A few weeks later, she realizes that she is pregnant. Learning the news, the boy promises the marriage to him right before fleeing in direction of San Diego in order to enlist in the Navy. The three friends, finding there the occasion to hustle their dull daily newspaper somewhat, decide to launch out to its continuation. Not being able to entrust to their parents, they put in scene a removal and take the road on board a stolen car. The police force will not be long in being alerted, preceded soon in its research by a private detective.
