Run my tears, known as the police officer (title original: Flow my Tears, the Policeman Said ) is a Romance American of Science-fiction, written by Philip K. Dick in 1970. The original title is inspired by a song of John Dowland, Flow my tears .

Synopsis

The novel tells the history of Jason Taverner, celebrity universally known, who, of the day at the following day, is recognized any more by nobody. Any trace of its existence or its television program disappeared, it never seems not to have existed. The history proceeds in a contemporary american company, but in a parallel Univers where the United States is a dictatorship. Jason Taverner one Six, human is genetically improved, which must escape the omnipresent police force: without papers, it is at any moment likely to be sent in camp of work.

Reward

This novel obtained the price John W. Campbell in 1974.

Editions

In its foreword of the edition Ailleurs & Demain , Gerard Klein indicates that the first exit of this book in France (in the collection Masque SF) was cut and abused. The following editions ( Elsewhere & Tomorrow and following) propose the integral version of it.
