Rumiko Takahashi (), born the October 10th 1957 with Niigata in Japan, is a dessinatrice of Manga. The mangas that it creates (and their adaptations in animated) are very popular in Europe and in the United States. Its work is relatively famous in the whole world, and much its series were the precursors of the mangas to being translated into occident in the years 1990. It is also the dessinatrice of cartoon the most read in the world; more than 100 million specimens of its various works were sold. She is one of the richest women of the richest Japan and mankaga (in 2004, she had to discharge a million euros of tax). She is so famous that people created an association in its honor: CFRK. It is called “the princess of the manga. ” Rumiko Takahashi carried only little of interest to the mangas during its childhood. Although one saw it gribouiller in the margins during the courses with the college Niigata Chūō, its interest for the mangas came only later. Career
The professional path of Rumiko Takahashi started in 1978. Its first history published was Those Selfish Aliens , a history of science fiction on the ton of the comedy. The same year, it published Time Warp Trouble , Shake Your Buddha , and Golden Gods off Poverty in the magazine Shōnen Sunday, which will publish thereafter the major part of its work. Later the same year, it began its first series, Urusei Yatsura . Although it had difficult beginnings because of problems of publication, Urusei Yatsura will become one of the mangas of humor the most appreciated in Japan.In 1980, Rumiko Takahashi found its crenel and starts to publish regularly. It then begins its second series-headlight, Maison Ikkoku , in the magazine Big Comic Spirits. Written for an older public, Maison Ikkoku is often regarded as one of best the mangas romantic of all times. It succeeds in continuing the two series simultaneously, and finished them in 1987, Urusei Yatsura being concluded with volume 34, and Maison Ikkoku with volume 15.
During the years 1980, Rumiko Takahashi became prolific in mangas of short stories. Its stories The Laughing Target , Husbands the Chojo , and Fire Tripper all were adapted in animated. After the end of Urusei Yatsura and House Ikkoku , she undertook a different approach in the narration and started sinks it and macabre Mermaid Saga . This series was published sporadically until 1994, the last history being Mermaid' S Mask . Many fans support that this series is not finished, because the last history does not finish on a conclusive note. One-Pound Gospel is another series published in an erratic way then left in plan. Last volume was published in 2001. In 2006, Rumiko Takahashi drew five new chapters to conclude this series.
In 1987, Rumiko Takahashi began its third series of scale, Ranma ½ , according to the fashion of the end of the year 1980/beginning of the year 1990 of the mangas Shōnen of martial arts. It continued this series during almost a decade, finishing it in 1996 with its 38ème volume. Ranma ½ is one of the most popular mangas of Rumiko Takahashi in occident.
During second half of the years 1990, Rumiko Takahashi continued its short stories and began its fourth major work, InuYasha . Whereas Ranma ½ , Urusei Yatsura , and Maison Ikkoku all is firmly anchored in the romantic comedy kind, InuYasha approaches more dark Mermaid Saga . This manga remains its most eclectic work to date, mixing action, lovesong, horror, Fantasy, historical fiction, and comedy. InuYasha is always in the course of publication in Shōnen Sunday and is with its 48ème volume. Rumiko Takahashi recently declared that the series would continue at least until the 50ème volume, which makes its longer manga of it to date.
