Ruedo

In the world of the Bullfighting, the ruedo (or redondel ) indicates the covered sand track ( arena in Spanish) in a Arène.

Presentation

Place of the combat, the ruedo communicates with the Toril , where the bulls before entering in track are held. In the event of imminent danger, the Torero S can temporarily find refuge behind a Burladero , or leave the ruedo while jumping over the barrier in the Callejón .

At the conclusion of the combat, in the event of ovation of the public and of handing-over of rewards, the Matador makes a solo circuit ( vuelta Al ruedo ) while skirting the barrier and greeting the public. The most enthusiastic spectators send to him bouquets of flower, their hat, their scarf, the ladies, their ranges. The matador keeps the flowers and returns the personal objects to their owner.

In certain arenas, the iron and the currency (“colors”) of the Ganadería are drawn in its center before each Corrida.
