Rue des pleasures

Rue of the pleasures is a French film carried out by Patrice Leconte, left in 2002.

Synopsis

Prostitute of the closed House “the Eastern Palate”, Marion dreams to become singer. To the closing of the establishment, it launches out to the research of the man whom it loves, Dimitri Josco. Small Louis, odd-job man Eastern Palate, deeply in love with it, follows it in his périgrinations.

Critical reception

Taking again the same elements of scenario of the tandem Leconte/Frydman, which had ensured the praises of part of criticisms for the Girl on the bridge , Rue of the pleasures was coldly accommodated by the press, criticizing a sophistication of style to the detriment of the credibility of the history and characters. Approximately 140.000 entries, the film does not take into account among popular successes of its realizer.
