Summary
Bom-Crioulo is the nickname of Amaro, a sailor Mulâtre who binds with a foam, Aleixo.
With ground, they rent an attic in the house of Carolina, a knowledge of Bom-Crioulo, to see itself in hiding-place.
When Amaro is transferred, Carolina allured Aleixo. When he discovers his treason, the misled lover castrates Aleixo.

This novel is one of the first to tackle the subject of the Homosexualité, which more is with the Brésil, in a clear way, before
Escal Vigor of
Georges Eekhoud (1899). It made scandal for its subject and its treatment
naturalist near to novels of Zola like
the human Animal (1890).
It is appeared in French translation with the Éditions Métailié, in 2007.
