The street Saint-Jacob is a principal artery of the town of Montreal. Created in 1672, it is on the East-West axis of the city. It crosses the districts of Coast-of-Snow-Our-Lady-of-Grace and City-Marie. The street is recognized for its many buildings of traditional Architecture néo. It is in the middle of the financial center of the town of Montreal and the expression “street Saint-Jacob” is often used by the media to indicate the Bourse of Montreal as a Moral person. Located partly in the international district and the Old man-Montreal, the financial center of the street Saint-Jacob is delimited in the west by the Square Victoria with the Tour of the Stock Exchange and in the east by the Place of Weapons with the dome of the bank of Montreal. The center of world commerce as well as the six large Canadian banks is on this street, whereas the Caisse of deposit and placement of Quebec is located a street at north although it is included/understood in the same district.
