Rudy Salles

Rudy Salles is a man Politique French, born the July 30th 1954 with Nice (the Alpes-Maritimes).

After having been successively member of the Republican party then of the Union for the French democracy, he is member of the Nouveau Center - PSLE since 2007.

Biography

Lawyer of profession, it enters early in policy while becoming City council man Nice in 1983. It occupies this mandate until 1995.

He is elected first once at the District council of Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure of 1986 with 1992. He again sits since 2004 there.

The June 12th 1988, it is elected for the first time appointed of the Third district of the Alpes-Maritimes from which it is the first and only elected official since recutting of the electoral constituencies of 1986.

The June 16th 2002, it is re-elected for XIIe legislature (2002 - 2007) while beating with the second round Isabelle Gerard (FN) with 71,00% of the votes. It forms part of the parliamentary group then UDF. During this mandate, he was vice-president of the National Assembly from June 26th, 2002 to September 30th, 2004.

After having made countryside for the UDF in 2007, it did not follow Francois Bayrou in the creation of the MoDem and announces that it will vote for Nicolas Sarkozy with the second turn of the presidential ballot of 2007. Nevertheless, the Modem does not introduce a candidate against him to the legislative elections of June 2007, whereas it is presented with the label of the Nouveau Center - Presidential majority.

The June 10th 2007, it is re-elected as of the first turn for a fifth mandate of deputy with 56,65% of the votes. It sits since in the group Nouveau Center. The June 27th 2007, it is elected vice-president of the National Assembly. He is Member of the Commission of the foreign affairs. He is also President of the Delegation in charge with data processing and new technologies and member of the following delegations: Delegation in charge of the application of the statute with the deputy, Delegation in charge of the audio-visual communication and the press and Delegation in charge of the international activities.

Rudy Salles is the only French member of the management Committee of the International counsel of the Jewish members of Parliament (ICJP), which has among his objectives " to support Israel ".

For the next municipal elections of Nice in 2008 it supports the candidate UMP who is Christian Estrosi against the current Mayor of Nice.
