Rudolph Hermann Christiaan Carel Scheffer

Rudolph Hermann Christiaan Carel Scheffer is a Botaniste Dutch, born in 1844 with Spaarndam and died in 1880 with Sindanglaja.

It makes its studies with the Université of Utrecht and follows the courses of Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel (1811-1871). After its doctorate in 1867, it leaves on the island Java and joined the Botanical garden Buitenzorg the following year. In 1876, it founds a school of agriculture and the garden of mountain of Tjibodas. He is also the founder of the review Annales of the Botanical garden of Buitenzorg .
