Rubble (style)
The style Rocaille indicates a decorative style sails about it under Louis XV and this, as of Regency, characterized by the imagination of the circumvented lines pointing out the volutes of the shells with their rollings up, pointing out the foliages, whose contours are very characteristic forms. It constitutes a reaction to the rigor of the Classicisme which opens out under Louis XIV. In Germany and elsewhere the style Rococo is very similar.
