Ruanda-Urundi
The Ruanda-Urundi belongs to the colonial empire to which the Germany, demolished at the conclusion of the First World War, must give up at the time of the Conférence of Versailles in 1919. It is with the Belgium that the Société of the Nations entrusts in 1923 a mandate on what will constitute later the Rwanda and the Burundi. In 1925, these territories are attached to the Belgian Congo of which they constitute from now on the seventh Province while preserving a statute in conformity with the mandate.
