Royal sun (1669)

The Sun-Royal , second of the name in the French navy (1669 - 1693 - 1749), was a Ship of the line, launched in 1669.

This drawing of poop of the Royal Sun relates to that built in 1669 with Laurent Hubac in Brest and radoubé entirely in 1686 with this new decoration to be then " monté" by the Knight of Tourville and destroyed by English at the time of the battle of Houghe.

Dimensioning and principal characteristics

Royal Sun is probably launched in construction in 1667 with Brest by the Master carpenter Laurent Hubac.
