Royal palace of Almudaina

The palate of Almudaina is an old Moslem castle become the residence of the monarchs of Majorque to Majorque in XIIIe century.

Under the reign of the Almoravides, one added to this building a second perfect rectangle characterized by two square towers. Later one raised a fifth turn which was called by kings de Majorque “the tower of the angle”.

The first independent Christian king, Jacques II of Majorque, realized, during the last years of the century and until 1311, of the transformations which made old castle, a true palate.
