Royal guard of Jordan
Praetorian guard of the king of Jordan account fourteen Caucasian soldiers , Circassiens (Tcherkesses) and Tchètchènes. She swore fidelity with the sovereign hachémite since the creation of the Arab Emirate of Transjordanie in 1921 by Abdallah Ier of Jordan, grandfather of the current sovereign.
The Caucasian presence in the area goes up with the expulsion of populations by the Russia in 1864 and with their distribution in the various provinces of the Ottoman Empire according to the defensive needs for the Sultan.
The special guard of king de Jordanie (cap of astrakhan) has as a prerogative its brought closer protection, often even during its displacements, while the safety of the kingdom is, it, entrusted to the Garde Bedouin (keffieh red).
