Royal galleries Saint-Hubert

The royal Galleries Saint-Hubert of Brussels (in Dutch: Koninklijke Sint-Hubertusgalerijen ) forms a commercial passage covered in glazed arcades. They are composed of:

  • the Gallery of the Queen (of the street of Market-with-Grass to the street of the Butchers)
  • the Gallery of the King (of the street of the Butchers to the street of Arenberg)
  • the Gallery of the Princes (of the Gallery of the King to the street of Dominican)

History

They are the work of the architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar. Inaugurated in 1847, they precede the Galerie Vittorio Emanuele II by Milan and the Passage of Saint-Pétersbourg.

Various galleries

The Gallery of the King shelters the royal Théâtre of the Galleries, while the Gallery of the Queen lodges the theater of the Vaudeville , inaugurated in 1884 under the name of Casino Saint-Hubert .
