Royal academy of arts of Sweden

The royal academy of arts of Sweden (in Swedish Kungliga Akademien för of fria konsterna ) is one of the royal Académies of Sweden, founded in 1773 by the king Gustave III of Sweden.

It is an independent association which aims at promoting painting, the sculpture, architecture and other arts visual.

The School of the Art schools of Stockholm, before integral part of the royal academy in 1978 was put directly under the supervision of the minister of education.
