Royal academy of architecture
the royal Academy of French architecture is created the December 30th 1671 by Louis XIV, king de France. Inspired by Jean-Baptiste Colbert, it has for first director the architect and theorist François Blondel (1618-1686), architect of the town of Paris.
Removed in 1793, this academy is joined together with others in creation in 1816 of the Académie of the Art schools of the Institute of France.
This academy forms today part of the Institut of France.
