Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is a Belgian club of Football which evolves/moves at the time of the season 2007 - 2008 in division 2.
The Club
The Saint-Gilloise Union is a large club of the history of Belgian football. Created in 1897 by a band of buddies, the Union gains 11 titles from champions of Belgium and 2 cuts of Belgium between 1904 and 1935. Another extraordinary event, the Union aligned 60 matches consecutive without knowing the defeat during the seasons 1933-1934-1935. The record is still not equalized to date. Family club if it is, the Union however did not know or did not want to cross the shelf of professionalism. The sanction is not made wait. The Union rocks in division 2 in 1965 and made since the elevator between the first division and promotion. Currently the Union evolves/moves in division 2.-
1897 : foundation of UNION SAINT-GILLOISE the 11/1/1897
- 1898: affiliation with the Belgian Union of the Athletic Companies of Sports (future URBSFA) the 9/29/1898
- 1922: after obtaining the title of Royal Company the 11/22/1922, change of denomination in UNION SAINT-GILLOISE (Royal Company)
- 1926: the club obtains the number number 10
