Royal KPN

In 2005, Koninklijke KPN N.V. ( Royal KPN or simply KPN ) is an telecommunications operator Dutch (fixed, mobile, Internet, data). KPN means Koninklijke postal and telecommunications authorities Nederland , it was the name of this company before its separation of the postal activities under name TPG Post, activity now controlled by the group TNT NV.

History

In 2005, the Dutch State sold 6,4% of the capital which it held in KPN. Thus, the State brought back its share in the capital to 14,3%, against 20,6% previously.
