Royal Galleries Saint-Hubert

The royal Galleries Saint-Hubert of Brussels (in Dutch: Koninklijke Sint-Hubertusgalerijen ) forms a commercial passage covered in glazed arcades. They are composed of:

the Gallery of the Queen (of the street of Market-with-Grass to the street of the Butchers)
the Gallery of the King (of the street of the Butchers to the street of Arenberg)
the Gallery of the Princes (of the Gallery of the King to the street of Dominican)

History

They are the work of the architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar. Inaugurated in 1847, they precede the Galerie Vittorio Emanuele II by Milan and the Passage of Saint-Pétersbourg.

Various galleries

The Gallery of the King shelters the royal Théâtre of the Galleries, while the Gallery of the Queen lodges the theater of the Vaudeville , inaugurated in 1884 under the name of Casino Saint-Hubert .
