Roy Dupuis

Roy Dupuis is a Canadian Acteur (Ontarian, Québécois) born the April 21st 1963 with New Liskeard in Ontario. He plays the Théâtre, the Télévision and Cinéma. He is especially known for his role in the Televised series the Woman Nikita (1997 - 2001), diffused in 50 countries. In Quebec, it is especially known for its role in the telesery the Girls of Caleb (1990 - 1991).

Biography

Although born with New Liskeard, in Ontario of a father Free-Ontarian and a Québécois mother , it passes the majority of its youth to Amos (Quebec), in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. From eleven years at fourteen years, he lives with Kapuskasing, in Ontario. After the divorce of the parents, with his mother, her sister, and his/her brother, the Dupuis family moves in the Holy-Rose district with Laval. He studies in Dramatic art with the National school of theater of Canada, with Montreal, receives his diploma in 1986. During the Years 1980, it occurs in several theatrical productions and it obtains some roles with the Télévision and the Cinéma.

Its interpretation of Ovila Pronovost in the Girls of Caleb (1990 - 1991) makes a high-speed motorboat of Québécois television of it.

Thereafter, it threads greatest critical success in the films Being At Home with Claude (1991), Séraphin: a man and his sin (2002), emotional Memories and Manners off Dying (2004), and Maurice Richard (2005). It makes in the same way on television: Scoop (1991-1995), Maurice Richard (1999) and the Woman Nikita (1997-2001).

In 2005 it incarnated the role of Detective Conk Adams in the film That Beautiful Somewhere (2006), turned to North Bay in Ontario.

He will interpret with the screen the role of the Lieutenant-general Romeo Dallaire in the film “Shake Hands with the Devil” of Roger Spottiswoode. The principal turning of this film about the Génocide in Rwanda with Kigali begins in June 2006 and should be launched in room in 2007.
