- Antoine-Claude Bertier (1761 Nancy - 1854 Roville): Founder of the agricultural Institute of Roville, it buys the property of Roville in 1791, is elected Justice of the Peace in 1793. Member of the Company of sciences, letters and arts of Nancy, representative of Meurthe to the Hundred day old Room, general adviser lasting more than 50 years. Under the Restoration, 61 years old, he asks Mathieu de Dombasle to create the agricultural Institute of Roville on his field given in lease until 1843.
